I have found the Wireless Card a great advantage. I no longer have a telephone connection for the Mac. The card is attached to a 10 foot extention cable from the top of a window for better reception in our almost too far away country location. No dropped signals. But need to add an external 20 foot higher yagi antenna for even better signal db gain. Great when on the road too or at a no WiFi location.
